In this short plan we explore these 3 different types of tithing and how we as Christians should be giving and tithing in the most God-honoring way.

We start off Part Four of our Hebrews series with the third warning: Be careful not to fall away from Jesus. When we lose sight of Jesus and our relationship with Him, we can no longer access the greater life He gives and all that it brings. Jesus is the better Priest that gives us the better covenant. Without Him, we cannot live, walk and have access to God’s promises. 

“It’s better this way”… “You’ll be better off”… We’ve all heard these words of encouragement from people who love us, but we don’t always believe them to be true. As we explore the richness of Scripture, the author of Hebrews will remind us that Jesus not only exercises the Authority over our lives as King, but as our High Priest, He becomes the fulfillment of a better hope for Humanity.

Jesus Christ has existed from eternity as God the Son. But He came to earth to make sinful people right with God again. His salvation work can be described in three key words: He is the ultimate Prophet, Priest and King — not just during His earthly ministry, but forever. Hebrews is one of the most challenging books in the New Testament. In this book we discover that the original audience was facing persecution and that they were tempted to turn away from Christ. That’s why the author of Hebrews placed their emphasis on standing strong in the faith. In this reading plan, we’ll see how crucial it is that we stand strong in our faith, no matter what opposition we may face.
