Until I came into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood [for I considered] their end. Surely You set the wicked-minded and immoral on slippery places; You cast them down to destruction. How they are destroyed in a moment! They are completely swept away by sudden terrors! Like a dream [which seems real] until one awakens, O Lord, when stirred, [You observe the wicked], You will despise their image. ¶When my heart was embittered And I was pierced within [as with the fang of an adder], Then I was senseless and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to honor and glory. ¶Whom have I in heaven [but You]? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the rock and strength of my heart and my portion forever. For behold, those who are far from You will perish; You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful and have abandoned You.

Looking for purpose? There's one thing keeping you from it: yourself. We create roadblocks from our past. In return, our purpose is flawed from the beginning. But like a mosaic, your purpose is made from the broken pieces. In the Makers & Monsters Devotional Plan, Josh White takes us through the story of David, and how "the man after God's own heart" was also flawed, yet so close to Jesus.
This devotional series can help you to honestly acknowledge and bring your doubts to God, turn to His Word when you doubt, and move toward God in faith. He is big enough to handle all your concerns, no matter how messy you may think they are!
In a world filled with injustice, social unrest, political division, and polarized opinions, what would God have us do? Do we protest and fight injustice, or do we pray and ask God to intervene? Maybe we do both. In this study, we look to God's word for help to live within the tension.
