Men and women bring individual differences into their marriages. While distinctive traits can have their appeal, they can also become irritants. With the additional stress and pressure of daily life, husbands and wives can become impatient with one another, and that often leads to friction and conflict. Christian couples have an anchor in the storms of life—His name is Jesus. Let's pray and ask Him to help improve the communication in our relationships this week.

The Lent Project is an initiative of Biola University's Center for Christianity, Culture and the Arts. The Seven Last Words of Christ refers to the seven short phrases uttered by Jesus on the cross, as gathered from the four Christian gospels. What is the lifestyle of a disciple of Christ? Is an impeccable moral life adequate? Jesus raises the bar. Christ-like qualities are attitudes and characteristics that develop once the Holy Spirit starts working in our lives. These qualities begin by transforming inner attitudes which in turn reflect on outward behaviour. The transformation is so deep-rooted it is not short-lived but results in a lifestyle for life – the Kingdom Lifestyle.

When we read the Bible, we’re dealing with the words of the Creator of the universe, spoken to His creation. This plan teaches that it is impossible for us to understand ourselves, our world, or anything else without one thing: God’s word.
