1 Corinthians 11:11
1 Corinthians 11:10-12 The Message (MSG)
Don’t, by the way, read too much into the differences here between men and women. Neither man nor woman can go it alone or claim priority. Man was created first, as a beautiful shining reflection of God—that is true. But the head on a woman’s body clearly outshines in beauty the head of her “head,” her husband. The first woman came from man, true—but ever since then, every man comes from a woman! And since virtually everything comes from God anyway, let’s quit going through these “who’s first” routines.
1 Corinthians 11:11 King James Version (KJV)
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 11:11 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
1 Corinthians 11:11 New Century Version (NCV)
But in the Lord women are not independent of men, and men are not independent of women.
1 Corinthians 11:11 American Standard Version (ASV)
Nevertheless, neither is the woman without the man, nor the man without the woman, in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 11:11 New International Version (NIV)
Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
1 Corinthians 11:11 New King James Version (NKJV)
Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 11:11 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Nevertheless, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
1 Corinthians 11:11 New Living Translation (NLT)
But among the Lord’s people, women are not independent of men, and men are not independent of women.
