You have plotted the ruin of many peoples, shaming your own house and forfeiting your life.

You have devised shame for your house by cutting off many peoples; you have forfeited your life.

But by the murders you committed, you have shamed your name and forfeited your lives.

You have planned shame for your house by wiping out many peoples and sinning against your own self.

Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.

You give shameful counsel to your house, Cutting off many peoples, And sin against your soul.

“Who do you think you are— recklessly grabbing and looting, Living it up, acting like king of the mountain, acting above it all, above trials and troubles? You’ve engineered the ruin of your own house. In ruining others you’ve ruined yourself. You’ve undermined your foundations, rotted out your own soul. The bricks of your house will speak up and accuse you. The woodwork will step forward with evidence.

“You have planned a shameful thing for your house By bringing many peoples to an end; So you are sinning against yourself.

“You have devised a shameful thing for your house By cutting off and putting an end to many peoples; So you are sinning against your own life and forfeiting it.

Your schemes will bring shame to your house. Because you destroyed many nations, you will self-destruct.
