James 5:18
James 5:16-18 The Message (MSG)
Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. Elijah, for instance, human just like us, prayed hard that it wouldn’t rain, and it didn’t—not a drop for three and a half years. Then he prayed that it would rain, and it did. The showers came and everything started growing again.
James 5:18 King James Version (KJV)
And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
James 5:18 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.
James 5:18 New Century Version (NCV)
Then Elijah prayed again, and the rain came down from the sky, and the land produced crops again.
James 5:18 American Standard Version (ASV)
And he prayed again; and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
James 5:18 New International Version (NIV)
Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
James 5:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
James 5:18 Amplified Bible (AMP)
