Psalms 105:8-11
Psalms 105:7-15 The Message (MSG)
He’s GOD, our God, in charge of the whole earth. And he remembers, remembers his Covenant— for a thousand generations he’s been as good as his word. It’s the Covenant he made with Abraham, the same oath he swore to Isaac, The very statute he established with Jacob, the eternal Covenant with Israel, Namely, “I give you the land. Canaan is your hill-country inheritance.” When they didn’t count for much, a mere handful, and strangers at that, Wandering from country to country, drifting from pillar to post, He permitted no one to abuse them. He told kings to keep their hands off: “Don’t you dare lay a hand on my anointed, don’t hurt a hair on the heads of my prophets.”
Psalms 105:8-11 King James Version (KJV)
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations. Which covenant he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, And to Israel for an everlasting covenant: Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance
Psalms 105:8-11 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
He has remembered His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac. Then He confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan As the portion of your inheritance,”
Psalms 105:8-11 New Century Version (NCV)
He will keep his agreement forever; he will keep his promises always. He will keep the agreement he made with Abraham and the promise he made to Isaac. He made it a law for the people of Jacob; he made it an agreement with Israel to last forever. The LORD said, “I will give you the land of Canaan, and it will belong to you.”
Psalms 105:8-11 American Standard Version (ASV)
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations, The covenant which he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac, And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant, Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance
Psalms 105:8-11 New International Version (NIV)
He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations, the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”
Psalms 105:8-11 New King James Version (NKJV)
He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance,”
Psalms 105:8-11 Amplified Bible (AMP)
¶He has remembered His covenant forever, The word which He commanded and established to a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His sworn oath to Isaac, [Luke 1:72, 73] Which He confirmed to Jacob as a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan As the measured portion of your inheritance.”
Psalms 105:8-11 New Living Translation (NLT)
He always stands by his covenant— the commitment he made to a thousand generations. This is the covenant he made with Abraham and the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, and to the people of Israel as a never-ending covenant: “I will give you the land of Canaan as your special possession.”
Psalms 105:8-11 The Passion Translation (TPT)
For though a thousand generations may pass away, he is still true to his word. He has kept every promise he made to Abraham and to Isaac. His promises have become an everlasting covenant to Jacob, as a decree to Jacob. He said to them, “I will give you all the land of Canaan as your inheritance.”
Psalms 105:8-11 English Standard Version Revision 2016 (ESV)
He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.”
