Remember how the enemy has mocked you, LORD, how foolish people have reviled your name. Do not hand over the life of your dove to wild beasts; do not forget the lives of your afflicted people forever. Have regard for your covenant, because haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land. Do not let the oppressed retreat in disgrace; may the poor and needy praise your name. Rise up, O God, and defend your cause; remember how fools mock you all day long. Do not ignore the clamor of your adversaries, the uproar of your enemies, which rises continually.

Remember this, O LORD, how the enemy scoffs, and a foolish people reviles your name. Do not deliver the soul of your dove to the wild beasts; do not forget the life of your poor forever. Have regard for the covenant, for the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence. Let not the downtrodden turn back in shame; let the poor and needy praise your name. Arise, O God, defend your cause; remember how the foolish scoff at you all the day! Do not forget the clamor of your foes, the uproar of those who rise against you, which goes up continually!

See how these enemies insult you, LORD. A foolish nation has dishonored your name. Don’t let these wild beasts destroy your turtledoves. Don’t forget your suffering people forever. Remember your covenant promises, for the land is full of darkness and violence! Don’t let the downtrodden be humiliated again. Instead, let the poor and needy praise your name. Arise, O God, and defend your cause. Remember how these fools insult you all day long. Don’t overlook what your enemies have said or their growing uproar.

Remember this: the enemy has mocked the  LORD, and a foolish people has insulted your name.  Do not give to beasts the life of your dove;  do not forget the lives of your poor people forever.  Consider the covenant,  for the dark places of the land are full of violence.  Do not let the oppressed turn away in shame; let the poor and needy praise your name.  Rise up, God, champion your cause!  Remember the insults that fools bring against you all day long.  Do not forget the clamor of your adversaries, the tumult of your opponents that goes up constantly.

Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, And that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name. O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: Forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever. Have respect unto the covenant: For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. O let not the oppressed return ashamed: Let the poor and needy praise thy name. Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: Remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily. Forget not the voice of thine enemies: The tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.

Do not forget the voice of Your enemies; The tumult of those who rise up against You increases continually.

Mark and remember, GOD, all the enemy taunts, each idiot desecration. Don’t throw your lambs to the wolves; after all we’ve been through, don’t forget us. Remember your promises; the city is in darkness, the countryside violent. Don’t leave the victims to rot in the street; make them a choir that sings your praises. On your feet, O God— stand up for yourself! Do you hear what they’re saying about you, all the vile obscenities? Don’t tune out their malicious filth, the brawling invective that never lets up.

¶Remember this, LORD, that the enemy has taunted You, And a foolish people has treated Your name disrespectfully. Do not give the soul of Your turtledove to the wild animal; Do not forget the life of Your afflicted forever. Consider the covenant; For the dark places of the land are full of the places of violence. May the oppressed person not return dishonored; May the afflicted and the needy praise Your name. ¶Arise, God, and plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish person taunts You all day long. Do not forget the voice of Your adversaries, The uproar of those who rise against You, which ascends continually.

¶Remember this, O LORD, the enemy has scoffed, And a foolish and impious people has spurned Your name. Oh, do not hand over the soul of your turtledove to the wild beast; Do not forget the life of Your afflicted forever. Consider the covenant [You made with Abraham], For the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence. Let not the oppressed return dishonored; Let the afflicted and needy praise Your name. ¶Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man scoffs at You all day long. Do not forget the [clamoring] voices of Your adversaries, The uproar of those who rise against You, which ascends continually [to Your ears].

Remember how the enemy hurls insults, O LORD, and how a foolish nation blasphemes your name! Do not hand the life of your dove over to a wild animal! Do not continue to disregard the lives of your oppressed people! Remember your covenant promises, for the dark regions of the earth are full of places where violence rules. Do not let the afflicted be turned back in shame! Let the oppressed and poor praise your name! Rise up, O God! Defend your honor! Remember how fools insult you all day long! Do not disregard what your enemies say, or the unceasing shouts of those who defy you.
