Orokolo language
Orokolo is spoken in Western Erema in the Kerema coastal Gulf District near the Purari River of Papua, New Guinea (PNG).
New Testament
This first New Testament (Pupu Oharo Āre) was translated by the Rev. S. H. Dewdney, a Congregational missionary with the London Missionary Society, and Lavako Maika, an evangelist. It was published by the British and Foreign Bible Society in 1963.
Old Testament
Genesis (Genese), was published by the British and Foreign Bible Society in Australia in 1970. Ruth (Rute), was published by the Bible Society in Australia, in 1972.
Digital Edition
These were digitised for the Bible Society of Papua New Guinea, with the help of MissionAssist in 2022. The Old Testament books were added to the New Testament for convenience.
