What do you think about sin? About salvation? About your life in Christ? In this devotional, Think Like a Roman, we are renewing our minds through the book of Romans. What we believe is essential to the way we live, to our growth, our walk with Christ, and our future in Christ. Our thoughts determine our beliefs, our beliefs determine our actions. Over the next four days, join us as we dive into our understanding of doctrine relating to sin, salvation, and freedom in Christ.

All of Christianity rests on this one single truth – Jesus Christ was raised from the dead. Because He lives, you can count yourself fully alive to God, no longer mastered by sin, but living through the power of grace.

We offer a collection of parables as spoken by Jesus and recorded in the Gospels in this reading plan series. Part 1 collection is all about the righteousness of our acts.

Whether you’ve been a Christian for a few days or a few decades, you have probably asked yourself at some point, “Why does the Christian life seem so hard?” This devotional plan answers that question by digging into the most famous Christian struggle in history—that of the Apostle Paul in Romans 7.

Romans 6,7,8 combined are such a compelling portion of the powerful book of Romans, describing the basis and process of learning to walk in The Spirit of Jesus that we will soak in each of them twice in this study. We will allow the Word speak for itself reading each chapter and urging reflection on the deep meaning to be drawn from each chapter.

In several of his letters, the Apostle Paul described the Church as ‘the body of Christ.’ This metaphor is more than just an illustration. Paul didn’t say that the Church is like a body, but that it is the body; some kind of reality is being indicated by these words. Throughout this plan, we will explore what this reality is and what it means to the Church today.

We are body, soul and spirit. Flesh is the term for our Godless nature. Have you noticed a struggle within you, between your spirit and your flesh? The apostle Paul explains this struggle in chapters 6, 7, and 8 of the Epistle to the Romans. Paul does not justify mediocrity there, but explains how to live in Jesus' victory by living in the Spirit.
