One in thirteen people globally suffer from a form of anxiety disorder. There are three main reasons why we suffer from anxiety: fear, lack of trust and unbelief. This plan will look at each of these to see what the Bible says about them.
Which is worse – being scared or fearful? Being scared appears to be momentary and driven by our circumstances. It seems though, that fear has a deeper root, that extends down to our core beliefs. A common fear sounds like I will let my family down – but is it valid? Scripture provides three qualities that when coupled together are extremely powerful when fear arises - let’s explore those together.

Written near the end of Paul’s life, 2 Timothy is an earnest entreaty for Timothy to remain faithful to his calling. Paul encourages Timothy to be bold in teaching sound doctrine, to present himself as a worker approved by God, and to have endurance in following Christ. Like Paul, we too are called “fight the good fight…finish the race…and keep the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7) in our own lives.
