Finding ourselves in a situation where we feel trapped, with no apparent way out, is challenging. Perhaps you’ve experienced a time when you said, “There’s just no possible way out of here.” But God, in His unwavering faithfulness, is always there to rescue us. He lifts our heads from despair, enabling us to shift our focus to His glorious presence.

Advent invites us to journey through the darkness to discover the light, the incarnate Word of God who "shines in the darkness" (John 1:5). This plan focuses upon the weekly themes of Advent—hope, peace, joy, and love—and serves as a guide through each week of the season. God is calling us to answer the high calling to set the captives free. This was prophesied about Jesus in Isaiah, laid upon Paul on the Damascus road and confirmed in the Great Commission for us. He wants to use us to help rescue people from the darkness, to open eyes, to make disciples. When we do this, we will experience The Year of the Lord's Favor.
