Depression is terrible experience—it feels like you are dropping down a dark, bottomless hole … with no hope in sight. But one of the greatest promises we have in the Bible is that He will “never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5). And it’s through prayer that this promise is realized because prayer draws us close to Jesus Christ and ushers us into God’s very presence. So stay close to God in prayer always, knowing that He is aware of your heart’s deepest cry!
