NOAH: A Message of Faithfulnessنموونە

His Promises Are True
When God speaks, He follows through. If He says it, He will do it. Even if you haven’t received a personal word from Him, Scripture is full of promises—thousands of them—meant both for you individually and for His people collectively.
Some of these promises include:
- “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
- “Come to me, and I will give you rest.”
- “By His wounds, we are healed.”
- “If we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us and purify us.”
- “Jesus is coming back.”
One powerful example of God’s promise is found in the story of Noah. After the flood, God makes a covenant never to flood the earth again. To seal this promise, He gives a visible sign: the rainbow. This reminder, placed in the sky, lifts our eyes upward—to His majesty, His beauty, and His faithfulness.
From a scientific perspective, the rainbow is the perfect symbol. It appears when light meets water—when what once brought destruction is met with the brilliance of God’s light. Those colors were always present, but it takes the right conditions to reveal them. In the same way, when our trials encounter the light of His goodness, everything is redeemed. Just as He promised, all things work together for good.
In making this promise, God offers Noah and his family a fresh start, a new beginning that echoes the commands He once gave to Adam and Eve. Every time Noah’s family gazed at the sky after a storm, they were reminded of God's boundless mercy, the promise of restoration, and the unwavering certainty of His Word. Noah himself was a glimmer of the ultimate promise—his name, meaning "rest," pointing to the peace only God can provide. Though Noah was the vessel through which God worked, he was but a shadow of what was yet to come. The Ark, built by God's command, had but one door—a single entrance, a solitary way in and out. And that door is Jesus, the one true path to salvation. He is the rainbow that arcs across the sky, a vivid symbol of God's enduring promise. He is the ultimate “rest,” fulfilling the promise to make all things new. The old has passed away, and in Him, all things are being made new.
So, what would change if you truly lived as if His promises were true?
Would you obey God more faithfully and consistently?
Would you choose His presence over the fleeting comforts of the world?
Would you let go of vengeance and trust Him for justice?
Would you be courageous in your obedience—even when it sets you apart from the culture?
Jesus Christ is the ultimate, living promise of God. His life, death, and resurrection are everything that the rainbow, the door, and every other symbol in the Bible pointed to. Scripture tells us that if we believe in Jesus Christ and call on His name, we will be saved. This is the most beautiful promise in all of scripture.
Whether it’s a rainbow in the sky or a personal reminder in your life, fix your eyes—both physical and spiritual—on what helps you remember His truth. When we accept His son and believe in His promises, we can truly live the way we were always meant to.
