The Pursuit - 12 Weeks

ڕۆژی14 لە 84

During one of the Jewish festivals, Jesus stood in the temple courts teaching crowds of skeptical listeners. Many admired His wisdom but questioned His authority. “How can this man know so much without being taught?” they asked. In other words, Where did you get your truth?

Jesus’ answer cuts through centuries of debate: real understanding doesn’t come just from information — it comes from willingness. “Anyone who wants to do the will of God,” He said, “will know.”

That’s a powerful principle. We often think faith is about finding enough proof to be convinced, but Jesus flips the logic: the heart must first be open to obey before the mind can fully comprehend. The Bible’s reliability isn’t just a matter of archaeology or fulfilled prophecy — it’s a matter of humility. God reveals Himself to those who want to follow Him, not to those simply collecting evidence to win an argument.

This doesn’t mean faith is blind; it means it’s relational. The same God who inspired the Scriptures invites you into a posture of trust. If you’re willing to obey what He shows you, more light will follow. If you resist, even the clearest evidence can look like nonsense.

At the end of the day, trusting the Bible isn’t only about believing in a book — it’s about believing in the God who wrote it.

Reflection:

Are you seeking truth with a heart willing to obey it, or just looking for proof on your own terms? What step of obedience might God be waiting for you to take next?
