COMPASS

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” - Psalm 119:105

We’ve all gone through seasons where we’ve felt lost – where uncertainty, doubt, insecurity and fear have been like a cloud of darkness impairing our direction. In those seasons, it can be easy to feel lost, discouraged and dismayed. Thankfully, God promises to lead us and guide us through every season, not just when the path is clear and the going is good. His Word is living and active; it’s trustworthy and sure; it’s powerful and effective. When we find ourselves navigating the difficulties of life, the best thing we can do is hold fast to the truth of God’s Word. “Compass” is a song that speaks to the reality of hardship, and reminds us to focus our attention on the truth revealed in God’s Word. We can be honest about where we find ourselves in life, and yet declare the faithfulness and goodness of God in the midst of our situation. God is our loving Father, our ever-present help in time of need. Though we may not know every step of our journey, we can live with confidence, knowing that God is always with us, leading us along the way.
