Jesus Listens for KidsSample

Dear Jesus,

I’ve been thinking about the future—about all the things I don’t know. And it’s starting to upset me. Fear and discouragement will sneak in and walk with me all day if I let them. Please keep reminding me that You go before me wherever I go. And You are always with me, holding my hand.

You don’t live in time the way I do. I can only be right here, in this moment. But You can be here and in the future. You’re on the path up ahead of me—waving and encouraging me to keep my eyes on You. Help me to hold tight to Your hand and walk right past those dark troubles and fears. The Light of Your never-ending Love shines out into the dark—comforting me and guiding me.

I can be confident because You are with me now and You are already getting things ready for me in the future. If I listen carefully, I can hear You calling to me from the path ahead. You whisper words of courage, hope, and encouragement: “Don’t worry, because I am with you. Don’t be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you.”
