Lent Youth Guide | Jesus' Real Talk During His Hardest & Darkest Moments

DAY 2 OF 39

Think:

So, Jesus knows His time on earth is coming to an end, and even though it’s about to get really intense, He stays focused. He’s thinking ahead, making sure everything’s ready, not just for Himself, but for His crew. He could’ve kept to Himself in fear or isolation, but instead, He’s preparing a space for community—His last supper, His last connection. Think about it—how often do we retreat inwards when things get hard? It’s easy to go into hiding mode when life feels like it’s about to hit a breaking point. But Jesus? He goes to where He can find support—in God, and in the people around Him.

Live:

As you walk through this season, especially when life feels overwhelming, try to remember this: You don’t have to go through hard times alone. Jesus shows us that love doesn’t bail when things get tough. It sticks with you, finds you, and makes space for you. Maybe it’s time to set up your own “space” where you can truly connect with Jesus and with yourself. It doesn’t have to be fancy—just a quiet, undistracted spot where you can let your heart rest and reflect. What’s one thing you can do today to carve out that space in your life?

Pray:
Jesus, I pray for the grace of a deep sense of your presence in my life.
