Lent Youth Guide | Jesus' Real Talk During His Hardest & Darkest Moments

DAY 30 OF 39

Think:

In life, everything around us exists on different levels. Think of it like this: soil, water, plants, animals, and us, humans. We’re all connected, but there’s a shift from the basic to the more complex as you move up. Animals are more conscious than plants, and we, as humans, have this insane self-awareness that animals don’t. We can reflect, make choices, and even have a relationship with something bigger than ourselves. But sometimes, we can live on autopilot—like zombies, just moving through life. The key is to wake up to who you really are and what you’re capable of, to start living with purpose and being connected to the bigger picture.

Live:

Take a minute and just look around you—whether it's out the window or the people around you. Everything you see, feel, and experience is a part of something bigger. There’s a whole universe inside of you and everything you interact with is connected in this greater force. Can you sense that? It’s like you’re a part of everything, but also everything is held in something greater. Just sit with that feeling for a while. Later on, as you go through your day, let that awareness of His presence in everything guide you.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • How can I wake up and live more aware today?
  • In what ways am I living on autopilot?
  • What would change if I recognized God's presence in all things?
Pray:
God, I ask for the grace to become more aware of Your presence in my life. Help me to see You in everything around me and wake up to the purpose You’ve set for me. Amen.
