Jesus did not hand out church invites or fliers to church related events. His mission was to redeem those who believe in him through death on a cross. Our mission is not to fill the pews on Sunday morning, but to preach the message of hope and salvation to a lost and dying world. Church cannot save anyone, and neither can pastors – only Christ. Often times, we stray away from the Gospel conversation and give folks a church invite, putting the responsibility on the pastor to evangelize and disciple them. The pastor equips us to do the works of the ministry, so be bold and courageous with the gospel.
