I'm New! What Do I Do?Sample

Eternal Life
Living with an Eternal Perspective
Have you ever thought about eternity? The Bible says that God has placed eternity in our hearts. This is part of the reason you were moved to give God all of your heart and life. You thought about eternity and what would happen after you die. Based on that thinking, you made the choice to live for God and, with that choice, to live forever with Him.
When we die, we get to be with Jesus. In the future, those who have died as believers in Christ will receive new bodies. Just as Christ was raised from the dead, we believers will be raised with new bodies when He returns. This is called The Resurrection.
Believers who are alive at Christ’s return will also receive new bodies. They will not experience physical death, but their bodies will be transformed.
At the same time, those who reject Jesus will also be raised. They will be judged for their evil works and for rejecting the message of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. They will not enter God’s presence but will face eternal punishment in Hell. This sobering reality reminds us why it is so important to share your faith and tell others how Jesus saved your life.
Christians will not be judged for sin like unbelievers, because our sin was already judged on the cross. However, there will be a judgment for our works—what we did as believers. The good will be rewarded, and the evil will suffer loss. This is why it is so important to live according to God’s Word.
We have so much to look forward to! Keep the eternal perspective and live in light of the resurrection.
Prayer
“God, help me to live in light of eternity. I can’t wait to be with You! May I live in a way that You see as good. Amen.”
