Nobiin

The Nòbíín (Nobiin) language (نُـٰوبين) is spoken along the banks of the River Nile in southern Egypt and northern Sudan.

Gospel of Mark

The Gospel of Mark (Markosin) and the Lord's Prayer (Norin Salla) from Matthew (Mattī-gōn 6:9-13) were translated into the Fiadidja Nòbíín (Nobiin) form of Nubian by Karl Richard Lepsius in 1860. They were written in Roman (Latin) script. It was edited by Leo Reinisch.

It was republished by the British and Foreign Bible Society (BFBS) in London 1885. It was entitled: Iṅǵīl Yesū El-Messīhnilin, Markosin fāyisīn Nagittā. It was printed by Gilbert and Rivington of St John's Square, London.

Arabic script edition

It was transliterated into Arabic script by Theodor Irrsich at Alexandria and published by C. and F. Unger in 1899 (Iṅǵil Yesu el-Messihnilin Markosin fayisin nagitta). A new edition was produced by the British ans Foreign Bible Society (BFBS) in 1906 (ʼInjīl Yasūʻ ʼal-Masīḥin lin Marqasn).
