Ruth 1:14-16

Who said you can’t flourish in hard times? Not the Bible! Why? Because God expects His children to trust Him as their Provider and Caregiver. Over 3,000 years ago, Ruth, a widowed Moabite refugee, experienced God’s miraculous provision of home and engrafting into the Messianic line. A shining example of how to overcome extreme difficulty, I believe Ruth’s encouragement in our hard times is one decision: “Flourish!”

It is great to be near the God who showers us with blessings and loves us unconditionally. We wander away and don’t even notice how distant we’ve become from God. How can we return to our senses and return to His loving arms? This is the first part of Naomi and Ruth’s story and their return to a covenant relationship with the Father.

We can learn about the loving, faithful nature of God in times of trouble. You can also see examples of how God responds to His people’s cry and then watch as He responds.
