Because I was confident of this, I wanted to visit you first so that you might benefit twice.

Because I was sure of this, I wanted to come to you first, so that you might have a second experience of grace.

Since I was so sure of your understanding and trust, I wanted to give you a double blessing by visiting you twice

Because of this confidence, I planned to come to you first,  so that you could have a second benefit

And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit

And in this confidence I intended to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit

Confident of your welcome, I had originally planned two great visits with you—coming by on my way to Macedonia province, and then again on my return trip. Then we could have had a bon-voyage party as you sent me off to Judea. That was the plan.

In this confidence I intended at first to come to you, so that you might twice receive a blessing

It was with this confidence that I planned at first to visit you, so that you might receive twice a token of grace

And with this confidence I intended to come to you first so that you would get a second opportunity to see us
