Ogaden Somali

Somali is a language spoken in the Horn of Africa. It is spoken in Somalia and the Ogaden region of Ethiopia.

Mark 1915

The Gospels of Mark and John were translated into the Ogaden-Harti dialect of Somali by P. Ohlssen of the Swedish Evangelical National Society, assisted by nationals, including Daher bin Abdi. It was published by the British and Foreign Bible Society (BFBS) in 1915 as Anjilka Sidu Ḋigey Marko.

John 1929

The Gospel of John was translated by P. Ohlssen and Mousa, and seen through the press by John Ethelstan Cheese (1877-1959), an Anglican chaplain in Ethiopia. It was published by the British and Foreign Bible Society (BFBS) in 1929 as Anjilka Ghudusah Sidi Uḋigey Yohana.
