Isaiah 53:9
Isaiah 53:7-9 The Message (MSG)
He was beaten, he was tortured, but he didn’t say a word. Like a lamb taken to be slaughtered and like a sheep being sheared, he took it all in silence. Justice miscarried, and he was led off— and did anyone really know what was happening? He died without a thought for his own welfare, beaten bloody for the sins of my people. They buried him with the wicked, threw him in a grave with a rich man, Even though he’d never hurt a soul or said one word that wasn’t true.
Isaiah 53:9 King James Version (KJV)
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Isaiah 53:9 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.
Isaiah 53:9 New Century Version (NCV)
He was buried with wicked men, and he died with the rich. He had done nothing wrong, and he had never lied.
Isaiah 53:9 American Standard Version (ASV)
And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Isaiah 53:9 New International Version (NIV)
He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
Isaiah 53:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
And they made His grave with the wicked— But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
Isaiah 53:9 Amplified Bible (AMP)
His grave was assigned with the wicked, But He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth. [Matt 27:57-60; 1 Pet 2:22, 23]
Isaiah 53:9 New Living Translation (NLT)
He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave.
