I pray to GOD—my life a prayer— and wait for what he’ll say and do. My life’s on the line before God, my Lord, waiting and watching till morning, waiting and watching till morning.

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.

I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope.

I wait for the LORD to help me, and I trust his word.

I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.

I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.

¶I wait [patiently] for the LORD, my soul [expectantly] waits, And in His word do I hope.

I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.

This is why I wait upon you, expecting your breakthrough, for your Word brings me hope.
