At the core of it, discipleship is taking care of and tending all the things Jesus commanded us. Yet how can we know what to do if we don't know His words? That is why we're exploring all of Jesus' words across the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Each day includes a Bible narration from Ps Mark Varughese of the words of Jesus. NOTE: the translation used in the narration is the New King James Version.

Matthew writes to God’s people and walks them on a journey that will take them from where they are to be Disciple Makers. This is 17 of 27 devotional plans walking us through the book of Matthew.  There are many aspects to revelation. Here in this Bible plan we look at some of them. Sometimes they are simple. This reading plan explores the first Gospel. This Gospel explains that Jesus was the king of Jews that brought the kingdom of heaven, even though Jesus didn't arrive in the way people expected.

The first four books of the New Testament are called “gospels,” which means “good news.” They are fundamental to the revelation of God’s eternal plan to redeem and save lost humanity. They are often called biographies for they each tell the story of Jesus, his birth, ministry, death, and resurrection. The good news of the Gospels is that Jesus has come, that he is both Savior and King, and people can know this is true because God has raised him from the dead. This section specifically focuses on the longest of the four Gospels, the Gospel of Matthew.
