These clichés may seem innocent, but are harmful to our faith and keep far too many believers stuck in spiritual immaturity. Learn to encounter these lies with the truths about God in the Bible, to bring encouragement and freedom to our lives.

I had no idea how hard it would be to lose someone you love - in stages. It tore me apart when my dear mom was put on hospice. Watching her decline steadily was heartbreaking and the gradual goodbye was physically, emotionally, and spiritually exhausting. Here are some helpful and encouraging things I learned as I walked with her through that deep valley, led by our Good Shepherd and Savior.

Praying for them while providing a solid foundation of biblical instruction, guidance, and discipleship outranks every other ambition in life. The hope of spending eternity in Heaven with our children and grandchildren fuels our efforts. Let’s consider the elements that are involved in putting this priority into practice.
