If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.

LORD, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you.

LORD, if you kept an account of iniquities, Lord, who could stand?  But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be revered.

If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.

If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

If you, GOD, kept records on wrongdoings, who would stand a chance? As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit, and that’s why you’re worshiped.

If You, LORD, were to keep account of guilty deeds, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, So that You may be revered.

If You, LORD, should keep an account of our sins and treat us accordingly, O Lord, who could stand [before you in judgment and claim innocence]? [Ps 143:2; Rom 3:20; Gal 2:16] But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared and worshiped [with submissive wonder]. [Deut 10:12]

If you, O LORD, were to keep track of sins, O Lord, who could stand before you? But you are willing to forgive, so that you might be honored.
