LORD, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow.

O LORD, what is man that you regard him, or the son of man that you think of him? Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.

O LORD, what are human beings that you should notice them, mere mortals that you should think about them? For they are like a breath of air; their days are like a passing shadow.

LORD, what is a human that you care for him, a son of man  that you think of him?  A human is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.

LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! Or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! Man is like to vanity: His days are as a shadow that passeth away.

LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow.

I wonder why you care, GOD— why do you bother with us at all? All we are is a puff of air; we’re like shadows in a campfire.

LORD, what is man, that You look after him? Or a son of man, that You think of him? Man is like the breath; His days are like a passing shadow.

LORD, what is man that You take notice of him? Or the son of man that You think of him? [Job 7:17; Ps 8:4; Heb 2:6] Man is like a mere breath; His days are like a shadow that passes away.

O LORD, of what importance is the human race, that you should notice them? Of what importance is mankind, that you should be concerned about them? People are like a vapor, their days like a shadow that disappears.
