LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.

O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.

O LORD, I have so many enemies; so many are against me. So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” Interlude But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. I cried out to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy mountain. Interlude I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me. I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side.

LORD, how my foes increase! There are many who attack me.  Many say about me, “There is no help for him in God.”  Selah But you, LORD, are a shield around me,  my glory,   and the one who lifts up my head.  I cry aloud to the  LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.  Selah I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the  LORD sustains me.  I will not be afraid of thousands of people who have taken their stand against me on every side.

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; My glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, And he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, That have set themselves against me round about.

LORD, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. GOD! Look! Enemies past counting! Enemies sprouting like mushrooms, Mobs of them all around me, roaring their mockery: “Hah! No help for him from God!” But you, GOD, shield me on all sides; You ground my feet, you lift my head high; With all my might I shout up to GOD, His answers thunder from the holy mountain. I stretch myself out. I sleep. Then I’m up again—rested, tall and steady, Fearless before the enemy mobs Coming at me from all sides.

With my voice I was crying to the LORD, And He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah. I lay down and slept [safely]; I awakened, for the LORD sustains me. I will not be intimidated or afraid of the ten thousands Who have set themselves against me all around.

LORD, how numerous are my enemies! Many attack me. Many say about me, “God will not deliver him.” (Selah) But you, LORD, are a shield that protects me; you are my glory and the one who restores me. To the LORD I cried out, and he answered me from his holy hill. (Selah) I rested and slept; I awoke, for the LORD protects me. I am not afraid of the multitude of people who attack me from all directions.
