I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

¶I sought the LORD and He answered me, And rescued me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed. This wretched man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.

¶I sought the LORD [on the authority of His word], and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears. [Ps 73:25; Matt 7:7] They looked to Him and were radiant; Their faces will never blush in shame or confusion. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him And saved him from all his troubles.

I sought the LORD’s help and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help are happy; their faces are not ashamed. This oppressed man cried out and the LORD heard; he saved him from all his troubles.
