Written near the end of Paul’s life, 2 Timothy is an earnest entreaty for Timothy to remain faithful to his calling. Paul encourages Timothy to be bold in teaching sound doctrine, to present himself as a worker approved by God, and to have endurance in following Christ. Like Paul, we too are called “fight the good fight…finish the race…and keep the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7) in our own lives.

Part of God's plan is to place us within a family of believers known as the Body of Christ. While we may not always agree with one another, it is important to maintain the bond of peace through the Spirit of unity.
