Proverbs 25:22

It is one of the toughest commandments we encounter in Scripture -- Jesus’ exhortation in Luke 6:27 to “Love your enemies.” In this five-part devotional, we’ll examine the ways Jesus wants and equips us to achieve that seemingly impossible task.

We talk a lot in our churches about “saving grace” but very little about God’s “common grace.” But as you’ll see in this 5-day series, the doctrine of common grace is supremely relevant to the work you do Monday through Friday!

They weren’t pastors or religious professionals. They were “mere Christians.” But through their work they changed the world. In this reading plan, I’ll introduce you to these 5 men and women who show us what it looks like to glorify God through our seemingly “secular” work today (Fred Rogers, Fannie Lou Hamer, Ole Kirk Christiansen, Hannah More, and C.S. Lewis).

Christians should live a transformed life. Our affections, attitudes, actions, and reactions can all be used to glorify God or our flesh. By living the way Jesus lived and loving the way He loved, we can be transformed daily by His power at work in us. Ultimately, we need to live connected to Jesus!
