Rescue gives men the start they need to find new spiritual life through the relationships God has waiting for them. Scripture is clear: we’re meant to be together, to do life together, to care for one another, to be united with God and with others. When we are united, then we are safe, strong, free—rescued for good.

This plan will explore what the letter of 1 Thessalonians teaches us in four major areas. 1) WHO GOD IS: God’s character and nature 2) WHO WE ARE: the identity of humanity and/or believers 3) WHAT WE BELIEVE: core Christian doctrines 4) HOW WE LIVE: putting faith into action

During Advent, not only do we anticipate an event that has already taken place – Jesus’s first coming – but we also look forward to and anticipate his second coming! In this plan, designed to be used during any of the days of the Advent season, we will reflect on 1 Thessalonians as we prepare our hearts to celebrate Christmas.
