Exodus 25:22

Mercy is a divine mystery, a gift given by God to those whose hearts are open to receive it. It cannot be earned or bought, yet it transforms everything it touches. The Lord delights in showing mercy, choosing when, where, and to whom He extends it. Through this plan, we explore the dimensions of God’s mercy: not receiving the punishment we deserve and receiving the blessings we do not deserve. Two angels, one at the head and one at the feet, and the space between them empty. When Mary Magdalene arrived at the tomb, she witnessed a scene that would resonate deeply for anyone formed by Israel's Scriptures. The mercy seat of the Ark was framed by two cherubim positioned the same way, marking the place where God promised to meet His people. Coincidence, or a story unfolding across centuries? We find two things in the outer court, which we can give attention to, namely, the brazen altar and the laver. Altogether there were seven items, or pieces, of furniture regarding the tabernacle. Two were in the outer court, three in the Holy place and two in the Holy of Holies. We will look at all 7 pieces in this study.
