1and Avram is gone up from Egypt, he and his wife, and all that which he has have had, and Lot with him, to south. 2and Avram is having been very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. 3and he is having gone on his travel, from south and to Bethel, to the place which his tent is there having been in beginning, between Bethel and between Ai, 4to the place of the altar which he has there made first; and which Avram has there called to the name Hashem.
5and also by Lot, which is having gone with Avram, are having been sheep and oxen and tents. 6and this land has them not able bear, to dwell together; because their wealth is having been great, and they have not able dwell together. 7and it is having been a quarrel between the shepherds of Avram's livestock and between the shepherds of Lot's livestock. and the Kena'ani and the Perizzi are then settled in land. 8has Avram said to Lot: shall, I entreat you, not be to quarrel between me and between you(SG), and between my shepherds and between your shepherds; because we are same people. 9this whole land lies yet before you(SG); part from self away from me, I entreat you, will go on to the left, and I will self take to the right, or on to the right, and I will self take to the left.
10has Lot lifted up his eyes, and has seen the whole district of Yarden, that it is in whole watered – this is having been before Hashem has destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah – even as the garden of Hashem, thus as this land Egypt, till you (sg) come to Zoar. 11and Lot has chosen for self the whole district of Yarden; and Lot has journeyed to east, and they have self separate one from another. 12Avram has self settled in land Canaan, and Lot has self settled in the cities of the Yarden district; and he has have had tents toward Sodom.
13and the men of Sodom are having been very evil and sinful to Hashem.
14and Hashem has said to Avram, after as Lot has self separate from him: lift now on your eyes, and look from the place where you (sg) are, to north and to south and to east and to west; 15because this whole land which you (sg) you see, will I give to you(SG) and to your seed for ever. 16and I will make your seed thus as dust of the earth, so that if someone will can count the dust of the earth, will also your seed counted become. 17stand up, go through land for length and for width, because to you(SG) will I it give.
18and Avram has moved his tent, and he is having come and has self settled by the oaks of of Mamre, which in Hebron; and he has there built an altar to Hashem.
