Truly, truly I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him Who sent Me, has everlasting life and does not come into judgment; for he has passed from death into life.

Jesus saw him lying there, and, knowing that he had been there a long time, said to him, “Do you desire to be made whole?”

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think that you have eternal life; and they are the ones that testify of Me. But you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life.

Jesus said to him, “Arise, take up your bedroll and walk.” And immediately the man was made whole; and he took up his bedroll and walked. Now that day was a Sabbath.

Therefore, Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, the Son has no power to do anything of Himself, but only what He sees the Father do. For whatever He does, these things the Son also does in the same manner.
