മനുഷ്യവര്‍ഗ്ഗം എന്നനിലയില്‍ പൊതുവിലും, ക്രിസ്തീയ വിശ്വാസികള്‍ എന്നനിലയില്‍ പ്രത്യേകമായും നാം പല തലങ്ങളിലും ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമുള്ളവരാണ്. ദൈവം, കുടുംബം, സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്‍, മേലധികാരികള്‍, നാം ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ടുനില്‍ക്കുന്ന ടീം എന്നിവ അത്തരത്തിലുള്ള ചില തലങ്ങളാണ്. മനുഷ്യന്‍റെ പൊതുസ്വഭാവം പരിഗണിച്ചാല്‍ ആരുംതന്നെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവരല്ല. ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമാണ് മറ്റെല്ലാ തലങ്ങളോടുമുള്ള നമ്മുടെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വത്തിന്‍റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം.
