So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law

So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being

I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart.

So I discover this law:  , When I want to do what is good,  evil is present with me. For in my inner self  I delight in God’s law

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man

I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. For I joyfully agree with the law of God in the inner person

So I find it to be the law [of my inner self], that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. For I joyfully delight in the law of God in my inner self [with my new nature], [Ps 1:2]

So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God in my inner being.
