Expect The ExtraordinarySample

Expect worship
What’s your favorite Christmas carol? Do you love the gentleness of Silent Night or maybe you prefer the rousing loud chorus in Hark the Herald Angels Sing?
People have favorites for different reasons. Maybe it’s because the lyrics mean a lot to you, or that you enjoy the nostalgic childhood nativity play memories.
Christmas carols are also worship songs. They help us focus on the real reason for Christmas celebrations: they point us towards God, glorifying Him and helping us reflect and focus on Him.
Whether you blast them out by yourself while decorating your Christmas tree, or in church with others all around you, no one can deny that carols spread joy. This Advent, look up the lyrics to your favorite carol and spend some time in worship.
“Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.”
(Psalm 98:4)
