Excuses
There will always be an excuse to choose not to fight for your marriage. Those looking for excuses are sure to find them. However, those people we find making excuses in the Bible are those that cannot enter the Promised Land, are called 'sluggards,' and walk away from Jesus Himself. To have a successful marriage, become someone who isn't quick to make excuses, but is quick to admit their faults and get back on their feet. Become someone who cares more about the person they're married to than being right or keeping your pride.
Set aside a few minutes today and honestly consider what excuses you allow yourself to use and believe to avoid having to change and then ask God to give you courage to own up to them.
