God’s Big Promise
Genesis 15:5
Then God led Abram outside and said, “Look at the sky, there are so many stars you cannot count them. Your descendants will be just the same, too many to count.”
Can you look up to the sky and stars, and think for a moment about the stars? Did you know there are many stars in our galaxy, the milky way? The sun is the nearest star to earth. It would take 221 days to reach there by spaceship, 177 years by car, and 3000 years by walking!
After Abram settled down in Canaan, Abram and his wife, Sarai, were longing for a child. God knew their desire and told Abram that his children would be as many as the stars in the sky, which are unable to be counted! God kept His promise. When Abram was 100 years old and his wife was 90 years old, their son Isaac was born. From Isaac, came many descendants of Abraham, like the stars in the sky. One of them is Jesus!
Prayer
Dear God, I believe in You, because Your words and promises are true. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
