WHY THIS DEVOTIONAL?

“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6 NKJV

For all parents and mentors out there, a dire need has arisen! That need is the ability to connect with our kids. The bottom line is this – the multitude of TV shows, games, and other outside influences in the world are threatening to have more influence in our child’s life than we do. Now is the time to take proactive measures to build a relationship with the ‘Juniors’ out there. The overarching goal of this devotional is simple – it is to build a stronger relationship with our little loved ones.

How many times have you wanted to open your heart about life’s challenges or the like, to the little guy/gal in your life but can’t seem to overcome the feelings of vulnerability? Or worse, perhaps you fear that your own child will judge you or view you as weak. Transformed Juniors is all about building relationships with your own kids or another child you mentor that you wish to sow into.

DEVOTIONAL’S HOPE AND PRAYERS

Our main hope and prayer are to see the building up of relationships. Already have a good relationship? Ok, we pray for a GREAT relationship. We pray that you will be taken to a place of relationship you never thought possible with your child/mentee. We hope that you become one another’s anchor in Christ.

Few things, if anything can compare to seeing a young child in your care rising in Christ. Knowing that you are building a family or friendship foundation upon Him is encouraging, exciting and even more TRANSFORMING! This devotional is for the parents and mentors out there that are not only in favor of their child(ren), but in favor for their child’s spiritual growth, and in hot pursuit of their child’s heart.

This devotional can be read individually by the parent/mentor or together with the junior(s) being spiritually invested in. The author’s encouragement is for you to dedicate a few minutes each day to read the devotional with your child, regardless of age. Another way this devotion can bridge relational gaps is by taking the teachings from each day and simply applying them to your life. Enjoy, apply, and be blessed!
