CollideSample

Jesus collided with Zacchaeus in a very unique way. For starters, no one else in town would even dare to speak with Zacchaeus at the time! He was a tax collector who tended to trick the rich and steal from the poor. Still, Jesus knew even Zacchaeus needed a friend. So, He looked Zacchaeus in the eye and invited him to a meal—an invitation Zacchaeus gladly accepted! The Scripture says that because of that one collision with Jesus, Zacchaeus’ whole life changed! Pretty cool, right? Well, we can impact people like Jesus did when we choose to collide with those who others decide to avoid.
Think about the people in your community, neighborhood, school, or even at church who are usually looked over or ignored. What would it look like for you to take a step toward colliding with them? Find a way to share a meal, write a note of encouragement, or pray for them this week.
