DAY 1 OF 28

In 2017, Alex Honnold's attempt to climb El Capitan without any ropes was a feat that had never been accomplished before. This dangerous and difficult task required immense strength, skill, and courage. But as Alex shares his story, it becomes clear that he didn't do it alone. His friends played a vital role in his success, spending multiple weekends with him to clear the path of loose rocks that could hinder his progress. Their selflessness and generosity enabled Alex to accomplish something previously thought impossible.

This act of generosity and sacrifice is similar to what you see the apostle Paul talked about in 1 Thessalonians 2:1-8. The Early Church faced many challenges and obstacles, but they overcame them by showing generosity not only with their money but also with their time and presence. They demonstrated God's love by being there for one another, regardless of whether they shared the same faith or not.

As you grow in your relationship with God, you can develop the habit of generosity in your friendships. You can learn to be present for your friends, to offer your time and resources to help them in their times of need. These acts of generosity not only help those around you but also draw you closer to God.

Just like Alex's friends and the Early Church, God invites you to be generous with your time.

Day 2

About this Plan

Over the Top

Have you ever seen an action movie where the stunts became more and more outrageous? Each stunt gets more extreme as the movie continues to push the limits of what to expect. What if that same mindset inspired us to live differently in our lives? What if we looked to God for ways to be extreme and do the unexpected in places like generosity?
