In Jesus' Precious Name: A Collection of Morning PrayersSample

Gracious Heavenly Father,

Yesterday morning,
when I
didn't know
how I would,
but then last night,
when the day
was all
said and done
and the
incredible way
You did.

This,
this is what
gives me
courage
and strength
each day.

You take my
can'ts,
not able tos,
don't see hows,
and
through Your power
at work in me,
turn them into
mission accomplished,
more than able to,
this is how
victories.

Each day
I discover
more and more
the beauty,
power,
and realness
of these promises:

My grace is
all you need.
My power
works best
in weakness.
~2 Corinthians 12:9

It is not
by power
nor by strength,
but by my Spirit.
~Zechariah 4:6

For I can do
everything
through Christ,
who gives me strength.
~Philippians 4:13

Come to me,
all of you
who are weary
and carry
heavy burdens,
and I will give you rest.
~Matthew 11:28

And, this -
THIS -
yes, this:

All glory to God,
who is able,
through his
mighty power
at work within us,
to accomplish
infinitely more
than we might
ask or think.
~Ephesians 3:20

As my heart
traces the words
of each promise
tired
begins
to fade
and strength
rises.

As I
name and claim
these verses for
my next moment,
my next hour,
the day ahead,
weary
weakens
its grip
and hope
takes hold.

I'm so thankful
it's not about me,
but it is this -
THIS -
yes, this:

You,
Christ in me,
working through me,
working in spite of me,
working with me and for me.

Thank you, Father God.

I have
a feeling
this is
going to be
an amazing day.
