DAY 5 OF 7

The Two Tunics

We have been able to examine how a full life is not achieved by filling it with comfort, but by emptying it to make that of others full.

Is that all? Of course, not! Jesus gives us another fundamental teaching to obtain a perfect balance and make our life full: “Whoever has two tunics, share them with those who have none."

If you have two tunics, give one to those who have none. He does not say to become poor to enrich the poor, but, paraphrasing: share your wealth with those who are poor, your peace with those who have no peace, forgiveness with those who do not know how to forgive.

Do everything you can to give love, the same love you desire for yourself. The first obstacle to overcome is ourselves when we think that we should not love (or do not want to love) because no one loves us.

It is certainly not easy to love first or to love without being loved, but Jesus said: “Narrow is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life."

Remember that Jesus left the commandment of love. A commandment, not a suggestion, conditioned by the inspiration of the moment.

A commandment implies doing something regardless of your own will. Love, and if no one loves you, do not fear: you will be filled by God himself, by His perfect love, by a full life.

About this Plan

Start. A Full Life.

Have you ever read the story of the narrow gate in Matthew 7? A careful reader will notice that Jesus is referring to a lifestyle, a daily attitude that leads the believer to live a full and wonderful life. With this plan, we will discover how to obtain this full life by walking the narrow road and entering through the narrow gate. I anticipate that it will not be easy, but beautiful, rewarding and satisfying.
