Lent Youth Guide | Jesus' Real Talk During His Hardest & Darkest Moments

DAY 34 OF 39

Think:

Sometimes, it’s hard to see God as a loving Father because of the way we’ve experienced our fathers here on earth. Maybe your dad wasn’t around, was super strict, or didn’t show much love, and that might make you think God is the same way. But Jesus flips that idea on its head completely in the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32). God is the Father who runs to you, arms wide open, ready to welcome you back no matter what. He’s not far away or uninterested—He’s right there, full of love, mercy, and compassion for you.

Live:

Lent is the perfect time to pause and think about how you see God. Is He distant, or is He a Father who cares? Jesus asks each of us, “Who do you say that I am?” Answer that from the heart: “You are my loving Father, always ready to hold me close.” Let that truth sink in and change the way you see Him every day.

Pray:
God, I want to know You for who You really are. Help me let go of any wrong ideas I have about You and replace them with the truth of Your love. Amen.

You will be guided with four action words to help you on this Lent journey. You are invited to Read, Think, Live and Pray as we explore the real talk of Jesus during his hardest & darkest moments. You are invited to reflect on the content and your experiences at the end of each week.
